Weak Turkish scrap sentiment deepens on fresh deal
Sentiment is weakening further in Turkey’s scrap market after a fresh booking concluded from the EU, Kallanish notes.
A northern Turkish mill is confirmed to have bought a Netherlands-origin cargo comprising 10,000 tonnes of HMS 1&2 80:20 at $364/tonne, 10,000t of shredded at $385/t and 10,000t of bonus grade at $385/t cfr Turkey. This is for second half of August shipment.
