Weak demand, cheaper billet slash Turkish merchant bar
Turkish merchant bar producers have decreased their export quotes further amid weak demand and lower raw material prices.
On Friday, Turkish merchant bar producers’ export quotes were mostly pegged at around $880-900/tonne fob Turkey for angles, $890-910/t for IPN-UPN sections, $910-930/t for flat bars, and $890-910/t for IPE sections. Higher and lower prices are also available in the market depending on producers’ production costs.
