Watpac sues BC Iron over Nullagine
Mining services company Watpac says it will take BC Iron to court over a cancelled mining, crushing and screening contract. BC Iron recently announced the closure of the Nullagine mine but could take a significant financial hit at the mine if Watpac’s case is successful, Kallanish notes.
Watpac claims it is owed AUD 12.5 million ($9m) from the contract, which was cancelled at the end of June. BC Iron denies this and says it plans to launch a counter suit. …
