Warrior plans met coal production uptick
US metallurgical coal producer Warrior Coal has updated its 2017 production guidance after a better-than-expected first quarter, Kallanish learns from the company’s earnings review.
Warrior’s Q1 coal production exceeded its estimates by 33% as the company continues to ramp up production at its mines in Alabama. As a result, Warrior adjusted its predicted 2017 sales to 5.9-6.3 million st at a cash cost of sales of $89-95/st.
