Walsin Indonesia eyes first-quarter-2022 full capacity utilisation
PT Walsin Nickel Industrial Indonesia (WNII) expects to run its nickel pig iron plant at full capacity in the first quarter of 2022. Its capacity is estimated to be 30,000-36,000 tonnes/year of contained nickel metal.
Production at the project started in Q3 as planned, and WMII currently has four production lines at the plant. However, total output only stood at 4,200t in Q3 due to insufficient local power supply, Kallanish notes.
