Voestalpine readies imminent BF reline following record results
Voestalpine says strong performance in key markets should continue until at least the autumn after carrying over into the June quarter, but the imminent Linz blast furnace reline will impact results.
Work on blast furnace A at Linz will begin on 8 June and last 100 days. The firm started to build up slab inventory last year in order to continue rolling operations during the downtime (see Kallanish passim).
