VIZ-Stal improves transformer steel quality with upgrade
Russia-based transformer steel producer VIZ-Stal, part of NLMK, has begun the overhaul of units that apply electrical insulating coating (AEIP) to steel strip, Kallanish notes.
The reconstruction is being carried out as part of a programme to improve the quality of transformer steel and includes the modernisation of roller systems for transporting metal through the furnace, the enterprise claims.
