Vietnam's steel production, sales recover in May
Vietnam's finished steel output and sales firmed a little in May on improving demand in the steel market, Kallanish notes.
According to data from the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), Vietnam's finished steel output in May achieved a 2.3% month-on-month increase to 2.224 million tonnes. This was still 19.7% lower than the same period last year. Finished steel sales in the month were 2.309mt, a m-o-m increase of 13.62% and unchanged year-on-year.
