Vietnam's production, sales soar in first quarter
Vietnam's steel production and sales saw significant year-on-year growth in the first quarter, while steel exports also increased sharply, Kallanish learns from the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA).
VSA data shows that Vietnam's steel output and sales jumped by 33.8% and 34.7% respectively year-on-year to 7.66 million tonnes and 6.78mt over January to March. Meanwhile, exports reached 1.63mt, up 59.5%.
