Vietnam’s Southern Power boosts supply
The Southern Power Corporation (SPC) of the Electricity of Vietnam says it will boost electricity supply in the EAF-filled region by 9.74% in 2018. Electricity supply and its seasonality is a persistent issue for local EAF steel producers, Kallanish notes.
Southern Power expects to supply 66.154 billion KWh of electricity for commercial use in 2018, up from 60.28 KWh in 2017. It also says it aims to improve its power supply reliability index.
