Vietnam's Formosa Ha Tinh slashes HRC prices
Vietnamese steelmaker Formosa Ha Tinh has lowered its hot rolled coil and wire rod domestic prices for May shipments, Kallanish notes.
The mill announced on Friday it will reduce its base SAE1006 HRC price by $40/tonne to $480/t cif Vietnam and for SS400 and pipe-making grades at $475/t. Prices for hot rolled band without skin pass will be pegged at $475/t.
