Vietnam’s August finished steel production, sales diverge
On both a month-on-month and year-on-year basis, Vietnam’s finished steel production declined in August, but sales achieved growth, according to the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA).
Monthly production of finished steel amounted 1.982 million tonnes, down 12% from July and 21.6% y-o-y, Kallanish learns. Production over January-August was 20.808mt, still posting a decrease of 5.8% over the same period of 2021.
