Vietnam steel production drops in January

Vietnam's steel output, sales and exports all fell in January, according to a Vietnam Steel Association report. This is mainly because the market saw less activity during the Lunar New Year at the end of January, and steel demand was weak, Kallanish notes. Steel production in Vietnam dropped by -26.21% month-on-month and -22.3% year-on-year in January to 1.665 million tonnes.
