Vietnam reduces scrap imports on lower demand
Vietnam reduced steel scrap imports in July due to lower steel production, resulting from weak domestic demand and falling exports, Kallanish learns.
Vietnam imported 217,027 tonnes of ferrous waste and scrap in July, which plummeted by 61.4% from June and 69% year-on-year, according to preliminary data from Vietnam Customs.
