Vietnam gave origin certificates to Chinese steel
Vietnamese authorities are investigating allegations that local companies have imported Chinese steel, added a Vietnamese-origin label and re-exported to Europe in order to avoid duties. Reports do not specify the products involved but the EU imposed duties on imports of Chinese seamless pipes, wire rods and stainless CRC, among others, Kallanish notes.
