Vetorial pig iron production surges after Ribas restart
Brazilian group Vetorial Siderurgia (VS) will end 2022 as the country's largest independent producer of merchant pig iron, the company says in a note monitored by Kallanish.
VS is celebrating one year since the resumption of production at its Ribas do Rio Pardo plant. The unit's blast furnace was shut down between 2014 and 2021 due to contracting demand in the national and international market.
