Vedanta launches iron ore mine in South Africa
Vedanta Zinc International (VZI)’s South Africa unit has launched a new iron ore product line of 3 million tonnes/year capacity at its Black Mountain Mine (BMM) operations. The pilot plant has seen the first production and this is expected to grow significantly this year, the firm says in a note seen by Kallanish.
Phase 1 of the project expects to produce 700,000-1 million tonnes/year of iron ore, comprising two products, namely sinter feed and DMS feed. BMM…
