Vallourec singles out Iraq in Mid-East demand recovery
Vallourec expects demand in the Middle East to continue to recover in 2019, driven especially by Iraq, according to the firm’s senior vice president Middle East & Asia Edouard Guinotte.
There was a strong increase in OCTG sales to the Middle East and Africa in 2018. This was particularly so in the fourth quarter when volumes doubled both year-on-year and quarter-on-quarter, following dynamic tendering activity registered in late 2017 and 2018.
