Vale’s Q2 ore production grows, S11D sets record
Brazil’s Vale saw iron ore output increase quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year in the second three-month period in 2024. Vale’s improvement is mainly attributed to consistent progress in iron ore operations at the S11D, which achieved record production for a Q2, Kallanish notes.
Vale’s 2024 target is unchanged. The miner expects its output to reach 310-320 million tonnes this year.
