Vale's Oman plant posts record Q3 pellet output
Vale’s Oman-based iron ore pelletising plant saw production inch up 1% on-year in the third quarter to a Q3 record of 2.35 million tonnes. This was, however, down -3% on Q2 due to a scheduled maintenance stoppage. Nine-month output thus grew 7% to 6.66mt.
The Oman plant helped Vale increase its consolidated pellet output 6.6% on-year in Q3 to 12.2mt, while nine-month output rose 14% to 35.8mt, Kallanish learns from the Brazilian miner. Vale’s overall…
