Vale's Oman pelletising plant registers second-quarter output growth
Vale’s Oman-based iron ore pelletising plant increased production 15.9% on-year in the second quarter to 2.46 million tonnes. This was due to higher productivity and scheduled maintenance that occurred in previous quarters. Compared to Q1 output rose 24.7%.
In the first half of 2019 the Oman plant thus grew production 2.4% on-year to 4.43mt.
