Vale`s Gongo Soco mine slope continues to slide
Brazil’s Vale says that the northern slope of its Gongo Soco mine in Barão de Cocais in Minas Gerais is continues to slide into the structure of the mine. The miner has taken all necessary measures for conducting assessments and monitoring of the possible changes of geotechnical characteristics of the structure. The Gongo Soco mine northern slope has begun to slide gradually since May 2019, the miner says in a note sent to Kallanish.
