Vale detects minor slippage at Gongo Soco Mine
Brazil's Vale says that it has detected some sliding on the northern slope of a pit at its Gongo Soco mine in Barão de Cocais in Minas Gerais on 31 May, the miner tells Kallanish.
“Fragments settled at the bottom of the pit with early assessments indicating that the material is sliding gradually, verifying evaluations that any further slippage should occur without major consequences,” Vale says.
