Vale signs long-term shipping deal with COSCO
Brazilian iron ore producer Vale tells Kallanish that it has signed a long-term freight contract with China’s COSCO Shipping Corporation.
The contract of affreightment (COA) is for cooperation in the transportation of iron ore, Vale says. China COSCO Shipping will transport about 16 million tonnes/year of iron ore for Vale as of the first half of 2018. The COA will continue until the end of the 27th year from the commencement date.
