Vale reviews 2019 iron ore sales target
Brazilian Vale says that it has revised expectations downwards for its total iron ore sales volumes in 2019. This is as result of January's dam collapse in Brumadinho and the consequent reduction in its output, Kallanish notes.
The miner will not achieve its previously-announced target of 382 million tonnes of iron ore sales. The new outlook is for these to be between 307-332mt in 2019.
