Vale resumes Barão de Cocais rail freight operations
Brazilian miner Vale has resumed regular freight train operations on the Belo Horizonte line of the Vitória-Minas Railroad, the company tells Kallanish.
The decision follows a report by an independent international consultancy company. This confirms that any eventual land movement generated by its northern slope slipping into the pit of the Gongo Soco mine would not affect the railroad, Vale says in a note.
