Vale receives temporary permit to use Timbopeba pit
The Brazilian National Mining Agency (ANM) has authorised Vale to temporarily use the Timbopeba pit to deposit tailings from the Fábrica Nova mine, Kallanish learns from the authority.
The permit was granted after Vale committed to remove all tailings and to implement a technically and economically viable alternative for the deposit after it finishes using it.
