Vale receives approval to resume Alegria Mine output
Vale has received necessary authorisation from the National Mining Agency (ANM) to resume operations at the Alegria Mine. Output from the mine has been suspended since March.
The latest decision will allow for the restart of around 8 million tonnes/year of iron ore output at Alegria from the mine’s overall 50m t/y capacity, with the remaining 42m t/y capacity remaining suspended.
