Vale posts improved Q2 results on higher prices
Brazilian miner Vale saw an improved year-on-year performance from its iron ore business in the second quarter of 2016. This was mainly as a result of higher realised prices and reduced Brazilian real cash costs although these effects were offset by exchange rate variations, the company says in a statement sent to Kallanish.
In the second half of 2016, iron ore supply should be relatively higher as we move into a traditionally stronger supply period, Vale says. …
