Vale, Port of Açu to develop low-emissions project
Brazil’s Vale and Rio de Janeiro state’s Port of Açu have signed a memorandum of understanding on developing a mega hub to produce hot briquetted iron (HBI) using direct reduction, Kallanish notes. The miner has already begun implanting such hubs in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Oman.
