Vale plans to sell New Caledonia nickel-cobalt mine
Australian miner New Century Resources plans to decide whether to acquire Vale's nickel-cobalt (VNC) mine in New Caledonia within the next 60 days, Kallanish notes. New Century said it had secured a 60-day exclusivity period to negotiate a deal for 95% of Vale's Goro nickel-cobalt mine.
