Vale Oman's Q3 pellet output declines fractionally
Vale’s Oman-based iron ore pelletising plant posted a -1% on-year decline in production to 2.32 million tonnes in the third quarter, Kallanish learns from the Brazilian miner. Globally, Vale's pellet output remained flat year-on-year (see related article).
This was, however, up 26% from Q2 due to maintenance stoppages in May and June. The plant recorded its highest-ever monthly output in July.
