Vale Oman pellet production grows in second quarter
Brazilian miner Vale's wholly owned Oman subsidiary recorded iron ore pellet production at 2.61 million tonnes in the second quarter, an increase of 52% on-quarter, but this was flat against Q2 2022.
The Oman facility’s output shrank in the first half of 2023 by 2.2% on-year to 4.33mt versus 4.43mt in H1 2022, Kallanish observes.
