Vale Oman output falls in first quarter
Vale’s Oman-based iron ore pelletising plant saw production fall -6.8% on-year in the first quarter to 2.2 million tonnes. This was also -8.3% down versus Q4 2017 due to the postponement of a scheduled maintenance stoppage to Q1 from the previous quarter, as well as some “…corrective” maintenance, the Brazilian miner says.
