Limited pellet feed availability reduces Vale Oman output
Vale’s Oman-based iron ore pelletising plant saw production fall 12.9% on-year in the third quarter to 2.16 million tonnes, while nine-month output decreased 5.7% on-year to 5.54mt. This was due to limited pellet feed availability, the Brazilian miner says.
Oman production accounted for 25.9% of Vale’s consolidated pellet output in Q3 versus 29% a year earlier, Kallanish notes.
