Vale Oman fourth-quarter pellet production falls
Brazil-headquartered mining company Vale’s Oman facility saw iron ore pellet production fall in the fourth quarter of 2023 by 11.6% on-quarter and 13.5% on-year to 2.32 million tonnes. This was compared to 2.62mt in Q3 2023 and 2.68mt in Q4 2022, Kallanish notes.
Vale says output declined due to the maintenance shutdown at its Oman facility in Q4.
