Vale Indonesia's earnings fall on lower nickel price
Vale Indonesia, an Indonesian nickel subsidiary of global mining firm Vale, has reported lower earnings due to lower average realised nickel prices, Kallanish notes.
The firm says in a statement that the group achieved $52.6 million earnings in the third quarter, a decrease from the $70.4 million achieved in the second quarter.
The group’s revenue for the quarter also declined to $278.9m from $295.8m in the previous quarter.
