Vale Indonesia rebuilds furnace for higher production
PT Vale Indonesia (INCO) plans to rebuild its No.4 smelting furnace from Tuesday of 14 December to increase its nickel production capacity to 90,000 tonnes/year, Kallanish learned from local media reports.
The rebuild is expected to complete in five months. After the production suspension in December 2021 to May 2022, the company will reheat the furnace in June 2022 and commission it in September 2022. This will help INCO to reach 90,000t/y of nickel capacity in 2…
