Vale improves safety areas of high risk dams
Brazil's Vale has begun construction work to improve safety areas near its higher-level risk classified dams, Kallanish learns from the company. The iron ore miner is carrying out three impoundment projects in areas downstream of the Sul Superior, B3/B4, Forquilha I, II, III, IV and Grupo dams. These are aiming to protect the communities and reduce the impact on the environment.
