Vale activates emergency Level 2 at new dam
Brazil’s Vale has activated Level 2 of the Emergency Action Plan for Mining Dams (PAEBM) at the Capitão do Mato dam, in Nova Lima, Minas Gerais. This follows the heavy rainfall that hit the region in recent weeks, Kallanish learns from the miner. The safety measure will not affect Vale's first-quarter production plan, Vale says.
