Vale instigates emergency action plan at Borrachudo dam
Brazilian miner Vale has activated Level 1 of the Emergency Action Plan for Mining Dams (PAEBM) at the Borrachudo II dam, of Mina Cauê in Itabira, Minas Gerais. The protocol does not require the evacuation of the population downstream of the structure, Kallanish learns from the miner. The safety measure will not affect Vale's 2020 production plan, Vale says.
