Vale activates emergency plan at Dicão Leste dam
Brazilian miner Vale has implemented Level 1 of the Emergency Action Plan for Mining Dams (PAEBM) at the Dicão Leste dam, of the Fazendão Mine in Catas Altas, Minas Gerais.
The protocol does not require the evacuation of the population downstream of the structure, Kallanish learns from the miner. The safety measure will not affect Vale's 2020 production plan, Vale says.
