Uttam Galva Metallics commissions second blast furnace
Nithia Capital-owned Uttam Galva Metallics (UGML) has commissioned its second blast furnace (BF2) at its Wardha Steel Complex located near Nagpur, Maharashtra. The BF2 has a hot metal production capacity of 700,000 tonnes/year, which will largely be utilised to supply the hot metal and pig iron requirements at the adjacent steelmaking facilities of Uttam Value Steels (UVSL).
