USW to strike at Moly-Cop AltaSteel
The United Steelworkers labour union has delivered a strike notice to Edmonton, Alberta’s Moly-Cop AltaSteel, Kallanish understands.
The 259 members of USW Local 5220 will begin their strike on 28 May. The workers have been without a contract since 31 July 2017.
Moly-Cop produces grinding media for miners and rebar for the western Canadian market.
