USW members ratify agreement with Algoma Steel
A new labour agreement with Ontario-based flat rolled producer Algoma Steel has been ratified by employees represented by the United Steelworkers (USW) labour union Local 2251, Kallanish learns.
The new contract agreement not only increase the economic benefits provided to employees, but allows Algoma to further advance its transition to electric arc furnace steelmaking, the company says.
