USW asks Trump to exclude Canada from 232
The Canadian arm of the United Steelworkers labour union is asking US President Donald Trump to exclude Canada from any blanket tariffs or quotas that might result from his 232 investigation, Kallanish reports.
The US Department of Commerce recommended President Trump install both targeted country-of-origin tariffs and blanket tariffs on all steel products, as well as quotas based on 2017 export levels.
