USTR supports steel in tackling overcapacity, carbon intensity
US Trade Representative Katherine Tai addressed steel industry executives this week in Washington, DC, saying overcapacity and carbon intensity are twin challenges that the world is facing. With trade tensions diminishing after a tariff-free quota agreement was reached between the US and EU last week, the two sides can now work together to tackle these challenges, she said.
