USSK workers declare strike readiness in wage dispute
Trade unions representing US Steel Kosice (USSK) workers have declared their readiness to strike in a dispute with the Slovakian steelmaker over wage increases.
The company has been in talks with workers since January, with the latter initially demanding a wage increase of €120 per person, which has since been reduced to €70. USSK’s management, however, are proposing a €20 increase.
