USSK shipments plummet, sources iron ore from parent
US Steel Kosice (USSK)’s shipments slumped -31% on-year in the third quarter to 765,000 net tons. Raw steel production fell -32% to 823,000nt, with capacity utilisation down to 65% versus 96% a year earlier. USSK sourced 235,000nt of iron ore from US Steel’s Flat-Rolled segment versus zero a year earlier.
