USSK reports reduced shipments, prices in June quarter
US Steel Kosice (USSK) reported a -13% on-year decline in second-quarter steel shipments to 1 million net tons, with average realised price down -2% to €580/nt.
Raw steel output declined -13% in Q2 to 1.15mnt, with capacity utilisation down 13 percentage points to 92%. USSK also sourced 189,000nt of iron ore pellet and fines from US Steel’s Flat-Rolled unit versus zero a year earlier.
